DAY 13 - ISOLATION
I'm almost done my 14 days, but you need to understand ... that doesn't mean I will be going out to do whatever I want. It still means I'll be staying home following the guidelines. I will go out for essentials, which in my case is grocery shopping and picking up my mail. That I will do once every two weeks. Understand that Shauna and I have talked about the aspects and implications of physical distancing and as difficult as it is, we won't be hanging out during this state of emergency. We do spend a lot of time on the phone, texting etc. but the guidelines are very clear. STAY HOME. She has to work at the bank because it's an essential service and she's spoken to her Dr. about it. The bank has sneeze guards up and lots of hand sanitizer. I have a video here that you need to watch, it's funny but it's relevant, it's naughty, but it's correct.
Saving The Venue
On the other side of the story, I've spent 10 hours today photo copying, filling out forms and filing reports. I am worn right out, but we've got some direction on where we're going. We're not able to share all our progress at the moment, however we just want you to know that we haven't been sitting on our butt for the last 14 days. We're am working on saving The Venue, so keep checking back and we'll release information as we can. What I can say is we have a team on it we're working on legal aspects, funding projects, public support, alternate service delivery models and other things. Our days have been full. Mark has been putting in long hours video and sound editing a few of the concerts we've had recently at The Venue. He is very close to a releasable online video album for one of the performances with another in the works. We are in the process of researching an online video delivery system that we can use. Hopefully that will be popular.
Live Stream Broadcast & Online Pub Night
I will say that it was a success! We had a total of 8 people come to the online pub night and several people on for the live stream broadcast. Our next live stream broadcast will be this Wednesday 8 April 7:00 p.m. It will be a quick 3 or 4 songs and if I get the chance, I'll parody another song and sing it that night. Friday night at 7:00 p.m. Bill Fay will be playing, you'll want to be sure you tune in. Bill is an incredible singer and player! Then we will have online pub night at 7:30 p.m. using ZOOM. If you're on our mailing list you'll get an invitation or check on our website home page and click on Online Pub Night for more information.
